Dear Friends,

Imagine.

If you were "spared the burden of voting" for US president, next year...

For, the Coalition Forces of, North Korea and the willing, after freeing America from the dictatorship of the Bush adminstration, has just chosen a new congress for you.

Isn't this nice?

This is exactly what's been happening in Iraq.

After destroying the whole country of Iraq, Bremer has kindly, hand picked, 25 of the most wonderful Iraqi people to be the new, temporary, Iraqi government.

People who were ready to sell their souls, as they sold their homeland.

People who had no credibility among most Iraqis.

A bunch of gangsters, as far as I am concerned.

Isn't this is what "Democracy" means?

To have a “democratic” president selected by the civilized and sophisticated adminstration of Bush, for the "uncivilized, backward Iraqis", because they know what is best for us.

Then, after carefully choosing these people, all they had to do is choose a president.

Meeting after meeting ... Day after day ...They were finally able to go down to 9 presidents!

Every country in the world has one president, but not us, not Iraq.

In a government of 25 people, we have 9 presidents, and all the rest of the 25 are deputies.

And the story gets better.

Now they have to pick one, just for the sake of the picture.

And the fight begins.

Meeting after meeting ... Day after day ... Just to come up with the most embarrassing idea.

They are to choose the president ...check this out ... Alphabetically!!!!!!!

An alphabetically picked president!

Of the nine “presidents" of Iraq ... the person whose name begins with the letter "A" will be a president ...and for a whole month.

Then comes the next month with the next president “B".

Now, who came up with such an idiotic idea?

This means that you don't have to check out the US presidential candidates this year.

Just pick the one who's name begins with "A”, and there you go ... No voting ... No hassle.

When my husband informed me of their decision, I laughed thinking he must hane been kidding.

Then, as I learned that it's not a joke, suddenly it's not so funny anymore.

But you can't blame them, can you?

If the people who were chosen have no political history, no struggle and no achievements, how can you favor one or the other?

Are we living in an upside-down world, or am I standing on my head?

In peace.
